Holiday cottage near Edinburgh - Location and view

from holiday cottage, 10 miles north of Edinburgh


Take a train from Inverkeithing one mile away and 
over the19th century historic Forth Rail bridge.
Very good park and ride for bus and train.

                                            Fife Cycle path  Just a few paces from your door,  then  to Inverkeithing, it's harbour, and as far as you want to cycle or walk.
2 miles east is St. David's Bay, Dalgety Bay,



 a couple of miles on is Aberdour beach.






Restaurants - 2 miles Nandos, Mexican, Chinese buffet, Pizza hut, burgers, Kentucky chicken,
Supermarket 2 miles to Tesco .
 Inverkeithing 1 mile  shops, pub, post office, phone box, bank, take away food, doctor, dentist, etc.
Hospital 3 miles away off Halbeath road.
Nearby childrens' activity park, swimming baths, Deep Sea world, etc.
Scots mill Hillend by Inverkeithing - the ruins can be seen from the front of the holiday cottage.
Loch Leven (cycle path and boat ride).
Towns and sightseeing 30 miles to Perth and Stirling.
Lovely places to visit like Dollar Glen, Aberfeldy, Crieff, Kinross, Culross and
Great for touring Lochs and Glens, whisky distilleries and fishing villages.
Historic cities and castles, Linlithgow palace, Blair Atholl, Falkland palace (King James),
Dunfermline Abbey (Robert the Bruce and Queen Margaret. Andrew Carnegie's birthplace.

or someone to call on if needed.

 Cafe - lovely coffee, chocolate and cake.
Brunch and lunch.
Good service.
Pleasant, relaxing atmosphere.
